Safety

Many aspects of tree work have the potential to lead the operator as well as the general public and property exposed to danger. The purpose of Health and Safety is to avoid these situations. We are fully trained (Merrist Wood) and qualified (NPTC) and have been implementing safety procedures since 1987.

Site specific risk assessments and method statements will be supplied on request. This means that before we arrive on site you will know how we will carry out the assignment and the measures that will be put in place to ensure public safety and avoid damage to property.

We carry the full range of required insurances including £5 million public liability. Through regular updates  from HSE and the Arboricultural Association we stay up to date with current legislation and best practise. All tree work is carried out to British Standard 3998.

Owners of trees also have a duty of care to the general public. We advise that trees are inspected annually. If required we will carry out Tree Hazard Evaluation reports that pinpoint visual evidence of potential or immediate threat to tree health that may impact on the safety of people or property.
